Department of Electronics

About Department

Established in 2002, the Department of Electronics emphasizes a student friendly teaching approach combining traditional chalk and talk methods  with modern tools like PPTs, PDFs, and audio-visual aids for enhanced  understanding. The department boasts a well-equipped and well maintained laboratory for practical sessions. ICT infrastructure includes Wi Fi-enabled labs, laptops, desktops, and an LCD projector for interactive  classes. To enrich student learning, the department organizes a variety of  programs such as state-level seminars, webinars, departmental seminars,  special lectures, wall magazines, annual science exhibitions, and  educational tours.

The department have dedicated faculty members who are also actively  engaged in research on Soft Computing and AI-based Digital Health Care  Systems, Signal Processing (with special focus on Biomedical Signals),  Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Piezoelectric Materials. Current  research also includes the development of mechanical energy  harvesters, flexible nanogenerators, bio-signal monitoring systems, self

powered electronics, and electrospinning techniques for nanofiber  preparation etc.

Programs Offered

The Department offers the under graduate B.Sc. ELECTRONICS  course for Semester – 1 to 6 (3-year MDC & Minor) under  Curriculum and Credit Framework -2022 (CCF-2022) of  University of Calcutta.
